Dale's Bread la Mr Housley

2/3 cup of sugar

2 teaspoons of salt

1/6 cup of yeast

Lots and lots of flour (~15 cups)

Mix the following in a large bowl:

4 cups of hot water

2/3 cup of sugar

2 teaspoons of Salt

In a separate container, mix:

1 cup hot water

1 tablespoon of sugar

1/6 of a cup of yeast (must be accurate)

  1. Let this sit for a while, but be careful that it does not go over the top of the container. While waiting for this to rise (should double in volume), add flour to the large bowl, and mix thoroughly, eventually, you will need to use your hands, but you should start with a spoon.

  2. Take care that nothing sticks to the edge of the bowl and that you mix everything in.

  3.  Keep an eye on the mix with the yeast; if you’re not careful, it will spill over.

  4.  When the yeast mix has sufficiently risen, (by this time you should have already added a fair amount of flour). Add this to your bowl.

  5.  You should also put in an egg for good measure.

  6.  Then you have added and kneaded enough flour (~15 cups) into the mix, let the dough rise for about 1 hours.

  7.  Once this is done, punch the dough down, and let it rise for another hour.

  8.  You are now ready to put it in to the pans.

  9. Let rise for another hour or so, and bring the over up to 350F.

  10.  Bake for 30-45 minutes.

  11. Enjoy
